Ms. Pacman cocktail - Monitor brightness issue - side vs. side.

Hi all.

I have a brightness issue on a recently acquired Ms. Pacman cocktail.

Electrohome G07 monitor

I have noticed that one end of the monitor is ever so slightly brighter than the other.

Forgive the blurry image, but it does represent the extent that it is out of whack, left to right. (Very slightly)

The site isn't letting me attach an image, so here is a url to a flickr image.

The following has already been performed:
-Adjustment of the colors
-Degaussing using professional grade degaussing coil
-adjustment of convergence rings

-cap kit ordered, not yet installed.

Anyways, as always any help is much appreciated.

Thanks :)

It's a cap issue.

I hope you ordered a flyback for it, too. The original G07 flyback will blow up when stressed by the new caps. Maybe not right away - although sometimes it DOES happen right away - but not long afterwards...

Solved

At a closer inspection, I discovered that it was a WG K4900

Ordered and installed a new cap kit and I have to say the machine looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line. :)

First time installing a cap kit or doing ANY monitor maintenance actually.

Thanks so much for the help and advice, guys!

One weird thing. There was no cap at C373. Is this a difference in flavors between the K4900 and K4901 or something?
