I am working on a cocktail cabinet for a colleague of mine. I believe it was an old Space Invaders Cabinet, but I am going to turn it into a custom Ms. Pac for him. I thought you guys may want to watch the progess. Here it is before.

Several coats of primer and hours of sanding later, it's finally ready for the first coat of gloss black.

Three coats of gloss Blue and masking removed. That's where I am right now. I will be painting Ms. Pac artwork on it next.

Cool, looks liek a perfect cab for a Ms. Pac.
Two things though.
Are the CPs 11"? If so, you'll need custom art done or buy some from Twobits.
SI cocktails aren't very abundant as far as I know.

No they aren't 11". And the old ones are so shallow that a joystick won't fit. I'll have to make custom CP's and custom CPO's for it. I'll cut new CP's on the CNC machine and them make custom stencils and paint them. I'll probably just clear coat them instead of the plexi. I want this to be a high end restore.

I'm not sure that it is an SI. There was a jumper setting card inside that said "# of Laser Bases" and the model was "sic". I assume that meant Space Invaders Cocktail. And since the CP's were too shallow for joysticks, I assume it only had buttons in it. It was just a shell when I got it. No glass, monitor, CP's, buttons, or even a power supply.

What is CNC?

I could design CPOs for you if you wish.

It is a computer controlled router that I use to cut my control panels. If you want do design a CPO I'll certainly consider using it. I need it separated by colors and it has to be vector art. I'll even send you a set of stencils in whatever size you want (within reason), if I use it.

Cool stuff!
Needs larger images, but yes. This I need to follow up on, since I'm in the middle of restoring a cocktail cab and just bought a Ms Pacman pcb.

Sorry about the picture size. I'll do better with the next pictures. These pics are actually the text images that I sent to the guy I'm building it for. So they are tiny. I'll do some higher res pics from now on.

I managed to get a little time to work on the game of the past two weeks. I decided to put the coin door art on the sides of the machine.

Thinking about putting a Ms. PacMan Logo on the front and a ghost or two on the back.
