So I have gotten pretty good at trouble shooting a pacman boards but I dont have much experience with fixing the Ms.Pacman aux board. I have a working Ms.Pacman board but when I plug in my sux board all I get is a static sound and beeps....any ideas on what is bad on the aux board?

It could be a Z80 chip , or you need to repalce the ribbon cable .I would also clean the legs on the chips and reset them . After that I would contact Riptor. He is the man to go to with any pac/Mspac problems. Ive used him several times and he is awesome!!

I had a know good Z-80 I pulled from my ABC diagnostic kit and when i put it on the aux board it still did the same beeps, I also tried to clean the contacts but no help... Not sure how to troubleshoot the chips besides replacing one at a time until fixed, any other suggestions?

Check continuity on the ribbon cable. It's a common failure point after all these years... Also, the 40 pin CPU socket and ribbon cable sockets should be replaced.

Too many people pull the ribbon cable off the board by pulling up on the ribbon cable itself rather than using a small flat bladed screwdriver to lift the plug out of the socket. Doing that causes the cable to break inside the plastic sheath.

Most of the time its either bad ribbon cable or the 40 pin sockets. I have been running across alot of bad eproms on them lately.
