Back in the 80's in at the Jamesway department store in Cobleskill NY there was a Ms Pac that had a large red lit square button that said "Hot Pursuit" When you pressed the button the game when into speed mode. Anyone ever seen this? Was it a Kit? I did find this online:

Someone had one of those for sale up in the L.A. area last year. Same red, square button.

That must be what it was, of course it came with the marquee above and a big square buttons with a Hot Pursuit insert. The button was one of these but red:

I remember playing a Ms. Pac-Man "With ZOOM!" when I was a kid. I think it was probably the same thing.

I have a NOS Ms Pac ZOOM! kit that I bought off of someone here a few years back. I haven't installed it since I run a six pac in my machine, though.

Flipper McCoys in Virginia Beach has a Ms Pac with one of these kits installed. It does add a new dimension to the play...

Kit pics, or its not true! : )

LOL!!! Cool!

Thanks for showing me, I've never seen or heard of one of these before.

Misfit Mame has the cheat option to make Pac/Ms. Pac go 4x and the ghost stay normal speed. Regular Mame had it a few versions back, but it is no longer. If memory serves it is the CTRL button for the speed, but it can be remapped. I only saw this once in the wild, as the "Always on" fast speed for Pac/Ms Pac seems a lot more common.

Weren't these kits sold by a few distributors BITD? Seems like I saw an ad in one of the magazines years ago.... Great, now I have to go find it...

mine has a button but it is at fast speed all the time on both players. I remember bitd when it had this button it would go fast when you pushed it. mine must be defective? maybe the switches are stuck closed? havent looked at it just got it and fixed it and been playing it.

Ya that kit sat on my shelf for a while before i decided to sell it to ya.

I think I got it from Chad. If you never use it and sell it to someone you should make a list of previous owners and include it with the kit. :D
