I just got done capping the monitor in my MS Pac. Its a WG 4906. The picture is night and day difference, better. No matter what adjustments I try. On the left side of the screen, the picture seems to start to roll over itself slightly. I messed with the white pots on the board, and the pots on the neck board. I just can't clear that problem up.

Anyone have any ideas?

my guess is you have case of vertical fold over. And yes as stated above pics would be cool!! check the polarity of the caps you changed in the vertical section anything that starts with c4

Problem fixed.

Turned off game, came up to computer to post problem, went back down to game, turned it back on, problem is gone along with the hum bar, don't know what happened but its the best fix ever.....

I would think you might have more of a problem if the Ms. Pac sync connector had the sync jumpered, which the K4906 won't like.

Plus, there is that K4900 series that can be mismatched with a yoke, causing foldover...

I have a similar problem with a 4900 , not sure the exact model number , But I hooked it up and the picture was all swirled , so I adjusted vr351 horizontal hold and it fixed the swirl picture , but the picture looks kinda crooked , and the right side of the picture will fold down the more I adjust the horizontal hold .

So the picture looks kinda crooked and theres a slight downwards fold on the right side which can be adjusted out with the H hold but it makes the picture more crooked when I get the right side to not fold down .

First make sure the B+ is reading properly. Several things can cause it to be off some. Unfortunately, the K4900 doesn't have a B+ adjustment pot.

Has it been recapped yet? Cold solder joints fixed (K4900 has a lot of them usually)?

Check the hold pot for proper value and smooth ranging...

I haven't done any work to the monitor yet . I just got it out of a nonworking cab that was sitting outside in someones backyard and put it into my Ms Pacman and surprised it actually works and looks so good . The monitor chassis looks to be in good shape but the frame is kinda rusty .

I already ordered a cap kit for it , so I'll cap it and check the B+ and see what happens .

Thanks !!
