Hey dudes, my wife asked me to build a Ms. Pac-themed multi that she wants to auction off at a silent auction in about a month. Her 40 year old uncle has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and in addition to current medical bills, might also be leaving behind a wife and 2 little kids in the not-too-distant future. I am just wondering where the cheapest place would be to get custom Ms. Pac art printed quickly. I would need side art, kick plate art, CPO and Bezel. I really would need to get the .ai files first to be able to manipulate them in Illustrator, then find a competent printer to be able to print them in a timely fashion. I am using a Solitaire Challenge cab and I would need to get the art to fit on that cab. Any help is appreciated.

Here are some pics of the sad cabinet I am starting with for reference:

If you know of the vector files for the side art, please let me know.

Don't have access to any of the art you're looking for but please let me know where I can send a few bucks to kick in and help.

Some blue paint, pink t molding , glitter clearcoat , whatever raises more cash do it.
Wish i had a set of side art to give to you so you can just cut out the graphics and just fit them on the painted sides.
Im sorry to here about your wife's uncle btw.
One thing i learned about cancer was you never know how much you wanna live until you almost die. Thats why i keep myself busy with the arcade machines and cars.

You are doing a good thing.. i hope somebody else here can help out with this .
i might be able to get a ms pac caberet marquee if that can fit anywhere on that thing.

OK, I should be good on the artwork, now I need a 60 in 1 PCB. I tried to grab one in a for sale listing yesterday, but somehow lost out to someone else apparently. If you have a nice, newer working 60 in 1 you don't need, please LMK.

OK, PCB secured. Now if anyone has an un-hacked Solitaire Challenge CPO complete with slide out tray, it would make this a little easier. The one I have has extra holes drilled and is missing the PCB/ Power supply tray. I can fab something up, but a nice original set-up would be awesome.

OK, here is a rough diagram with dims for the cab:

And the artwork a very generous soul already mocked up for me:

Looks like this project is a go!

I was actually about to step in and offer help, but looks like you have been taken care of.

Really sorry to hear about the uncle... Cancer is scary.
Look forward to the project, for a good cause.

This project is coming together nicely. I was able to source a decent LCD monitor, a 60 in 1, and a nice switching power supply. I decided to add a lower marquee light box and LED light to illuminate what will be the above CP marquee:

I was also able to get most of the artwork installed:

Thanks go out to Rich at This Old Game, without whom this wouldn't have been possible. Just waiting on the glass bezel/ marquee combo and the CPO to finish her up. The auction is this Saturday.

The rest of the art arrived and I was finally able to finish the cosmetics and install the powdercoated but cobbled together coin door. I did run into a few snags along the way, however. With no die cut holes, the CPO took a long time to line up correctly. And, as I feared, the tempered glass bezel was too wide and didn't quite fit into the opening. I gave exact measurements and realized too late that I shoulda taken an 1/8" off for wiggle room. Live and learn. I ended up having to shave a little of the particle board off the inner edges of the monitor area and then carefully repainting them. My wife actually helped with that part, so it wasn't so bad. In the end it did work, as I was able to then slide the bezel into place when we were finished. It sounds scary but it actually turned out fine and still looks great, as you only really see about 3/16" of the inner sides due to the thickness of the bezel. Next up is wiring the speakers and control panel. Then I need to go in and set up the board correctly using the menu options. A few quick cell pics of the cab so far:

Rich really knocked it out of the park with this art package. Thanks a million Rich.

Wow!! Looks fantastic as always Phet. You really do beautiful work with so much attention to detail. I hope it kills at the auction. The art package is sweet, looks like the real deal. This cabinet will probably pop up on craigslist 10 years from now, with someone claiming its some type of Irish prototype or something, LOL.

Cheers Dude,

Zoltan

Thanks Bros (especially you Richie). T minus 2 days and I need to finish tidying this thing up! I hate (and secretly love) crunch time.
