I never watched the INP you are referring to, but Don has watched me play and I believe that improved some things he does on Chase mazes. I believe he had watched both Aart and Abdner also. (Don is like a sponge and picks up strategies quickly, so I'm sure if he puts more time into it he'd reach the end). I just don't think he has been playing that much.

I believe there are other players that have improved their games to 3, 4, or even 5 hundred thousand over the last decade, but the only players who I have personally seen kill-screen are the same players with official scores of over 900k on the T.G. scoreboard. Rick Fothergill, Aart Van Vliet , Abdner Ashman, and Chris Ayra. (Others players who reliable witnesses have told me are kill-screen capable are Bill Mitchell, and Bill Bastable, and Neil Chapman).

Grouping involves the ability to note where all four monsters are in the maze at the same time while keeping their individual personalities in mind, so you know exactly what moves to make, depending on where you are in the maze also.

I know it sounds difficult, but you can get so good at grouping that you have to fight to stay awake during a 4 or 5 hour game.

The masters at this game generally don't except losing any lives on Chase mazes or even the first life before 3 or 4 hundred thousand, depending on whether the points are good or not.
