I have an original Ms. Pac. Everything works great, however there is a slight greenish band along the bottom of the monitor that I cannot seem to get rid of no matter what I do.

I tried the Green Drive, etc. The only thing which has helped was to reduce the brightness.

I have attached an image. Has anyone seen anything like this ? or know what to suggest ?

I presume all the 'normal' stuff has been done - cap kit, monitor adjustment, CRT tested with a rejuvenator, etc etc?

Do you have another game to test the monitor on?

Actually no. I just picked up this machine so I havent done anything just yet.
Not really sure where to start with this other than the pots on the neck board and panel.

I was looking at a cap kit, but didn't see any site which showed my symptoms as to needing a cap kit.

thoughts ?

Kinda looks like a gauss issue. Turn the game off, leave it off for 30 minutes, and rotate it 90 degrees. Then turn it back on.

I still think a better thing to do would be to try that monitor with the feed from another game. That would confirm whether or not it's a PCB issue or a monitor issue.

Times like this where it's great to have a monitor extension cable. Just back the two games up to each other and plug in.

I don't know about a gauss issue. It wouldn't show in the black like it is there.

Looks like the monitor needs to be rebuild (cap kit atleast). If I had to bet I'd say it needs a cap'ng, the "top" of the monitor has a week picture and the brightness is turned up so that the weak part of the picture is the right brightness while the bottom of the screen comes in too bright because it's not effected as bad as the top... (stopped using quotation marks because I'd figure when I say top and bottom it would be understood that I realize the monitor is rotated). The reason it's faintly green is because green might be turned up just a bit more than red or blue.

I'd recap the monitor and go from there?

Thanks. Can you tell me where to get the caps for the original monitor ? I thinks its a WG 4900 ? I dont have it opened at the moment.

When I need a cap kit I just buy the caps from Mouser... BobRoberts sells premade cap kits though. http://www.therealbobroberts.net/caps.html

Double check the monitor before ordering because I could've sworn those commonly came with G07 monitors.
