Hi all,
I'm putting together my Ms Pac cab that DPTwiz built for me, and I have a question related to mounting the monitor.

My donor cabinet is out for painting right now, so I don't have any marker holes to go by.

Does anyone have any pics of the inside of a Ms Pac or Galaga cabinet that can share with me the positioning of the angle brackets that the monitor's u-brackets slide and bolt on to? I'm talking about the brackets that are affixed to the inside walls of the cabinet. I need some measurements to make sure that I place mine correctly. Since this is a brand new cabinet, I'd prefer to only screw something in once :D

Anyone have a cab apart at the moment that can share pics? Or maybe you have some pictures you've taken in the past?

Thanks!

Are these what you mean?

That's close, thank you.

Here's a photo from a restore thread posted by KLOV user Coldfire. I've added a pointer to the measurement I need:

What the distance between the top edge of that bracket, and the bottom edge of the wood shelf the bezel slides into?

Also, how far forward into the cabinet is that bracket? I need the measurements from the ouside edge of the rear door opening to the top corner (yellow line) and bottom corner (green line) since it's at an angle.

Going by your pictures, I assume you laid the tape edge on the bracket's surface. Then I see:

  • 3 and 1/8" inches between the bracket top and the bottom edge of the bezel shelf.
  • 5 and 1/8" from the rear (not including the rabbet) to the top edge

That sound about right?
