its a wg 4900 and some of the bad caps were replaced with no neck glow. so what is happening is r702 the resistor of 2.2 keeps burning up. it connects directly to pin 8 of the 352 (flyback transformer and it connects to d702 as well. any ideas as to why this is happening?

First - finish the cap kit.

Second - if R702 is burning up, it's because too much load is going through it. Check D702 and C702, as well as the solder around them. Make sure the horiz centering jumper isn't plugged onto something other than one of those tabs. Hook your meter up to the B+ checkpoint and see what your get before it burns up the resistor...

the cap kit is done. all of the caps are replaced. It just keeps doing what i described before

yeah mod checked them but no avail. I am curious what does r702 the resistor of 2.2 go to??
