Hey KLOV,.
been a while.
I recently gutted a Ms Pac Man in a generic.
The cab was way beat,.but the game played great.
Sound and pic were great.
Ms Pac Hauled ass!
After removing the board, i realized it was a PAC MAN board...maybe been moded?
It wasnt the typical multi board with ribbon cable, but a bigger single board with a second deck board (small) (on top)
The board has 2 edge connectors.
*I ALSO HAVE A SECOND BOARD FROM THE CAB...MAYBE A SOUND BOARD? IT WAS LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE PCB...?*
I dont know much about it,.but i have ALL wiring from the cabinet.
I dont know if this board ONLY WORKS IN A PAC CAB, OR MS PAC CAB,.OR BOTH!?
I just have the guts....
If interested.,shoot me an offer,.
i would like $200..but i dont really expect to get that. (i paid $200 for the game,.then gutted it with intentions of re-planting the guts into another found midway cab,.but i havnt found it!)
Maybe someone has a cab in need of board?...
caylinsdaddy@yahoo
shoot me any offers of anything if interested,.doesnt have to be cash..
other arcade stuff....Need a tested/working Bump N Jump or Pac mania pcb
or anything that goes into a candy cab (just got one with Marvel Vs Cap,.can the game in these be changed easy?)
thnx

Sounds interesing. Can you post up some pics of that board? I would love to see what you got there. Also a pic of the marqueen so that we could see the condition might get a few more bites.

Are you talking about the Ms. Pac daughter card? or did I miss something there?
Are you positive about no ribbon between the 2 boards?
If so, maybe a weird boot.

Otherwise, sounds like a standard Ms. Pac board with speed chip.
Worth about $80. or $90.

Sorry, your right. I miss read that part with the second deck board mounted on top. It does sound like a standard MsPac board as the Pac board was the original base board.

thnx

ok,.so when you say it sounds like a standard Ms Pac board,.
is there 2 kinds?
because in my working Ms Pac cab,.the board is way different.
This Ms Pac with the speed is different, totally different wiring...
what and why is that?
i would post pix, but cant upload any photos

There is only one original Midway style board which is the same for pac and mspac. The mspac was just a rom change and added the aux board.
However, there are tons of different style bootleg boards out there. I think I have about 8 or 9 different variations and there are probably a dozen or more others.

The speed chip is rom is a rom swap as well. Riptor is correct. The Mspac board was originally a bootleg on the basic Pac board that was marketed directly at Namco before releasing it to the public. There are tons of various bootlegs out there and without pics, I can not tell you what you have in your machine. If it works for you and your happy with it, don't let it bug you. However if you are a "original" fanatic then you might take that board and harness and put in the cab that your keeping. Just saying. No biggie. Just trying to inform.
