Lo all,

So I'm fixing up a Ms Pac Man cocktail for my girlfriend and I have confirmed that 3 out of the 7 fuses are dead. Heres the thing I dont know, what kind of fuses do I need?

It looks like it uses 2 kinds of fuses, theres a bank of 3 and a bank of 4. Can anyone give me the fuse types?

Thanks!

Those numbers look like bussman (brand name) fuses. They are 125/250v glass fuses. Keep in mind 250v fuses the amperage is reduced by half of the 120v voltage. so a 20a fuse @250v is good for 10amps. Any electrical distributor in the area will have them. I know, we sell them!

Say what!?!?!?
Thats the first time I've heard that little twist. A 20A fuse is a 20A fuse. The voltage rating is a maximum voltage circuit you can use the fuse in.
Do NOT put a 20A/250V fuse in a circuit that calls for a 10A!

pac man games are known for the fuse HOLDERS to get weak over time and they dont grip the fuses tight enough to allow proper electron flow. whenever i get a new to me, pac man, the first thing i do is replace them. then i make sure i have good power cord and 3 prongs on the plug.

well, i replaced the fuses, two blew instantly, but that was me being stupid and mixing up the 5amp and the 1amp fuses. after i swapped in new 1amps the fuses were fine.

The ms pacman turns on, the monitor goes on, but the game will not play. i have two supposedly working baords (and a working bootleg pacman with a jamma adapter). they all produce gibberish on the screen. some produce rolling lines, some produce green dots, another does nothing.

no music, no blind playing. nada. i tried the bootpacman in a jamma adapter into a jamma to ms pacman adapter and all i got was some colors and a rolling monitor.

I'm not sure where to look next.

1) Check your voltages.

2) If it's the original edge connector, you might want to consider replacing that.

I have a tested working bally mspac board $95 shipped in USA......if you need one.
