Ms. Pac-Man died - need help diagnosing (have pic)

I'm working on a very similar board. What's an NP? I've been playing with electronics for several years now and perhaps call an NP something different. His board looks very much like mine. (even with the blown flyback)

NP = Non polarized or BP Bi-polarized

same same

Thanks for the quick reply Dokert. I guess I didn't pay attention to the caps on my board vs what I got in Bob's kit. I havn't removed any caps yet. Should I be concerned? While I'm at it, I have a broken wire from the neck board to to the chassis. Not a soldered connection, but one that is wrapped around a square peg instead. Should I attempt to rewrap it, or can I just solder it? What are your thoughts for a noob?

1. No, but make note of them.
2. The pins that are wire wrapped are a bitch to solder to, but that is what you will need to do.
3. ?

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I'm doing a good job of it. removed one leg onf my R908 & the values are off quite a bit. I saw some 47K ohm, 1/2 watt 5% tolerance resistors at radio shack. If I'm reading my R908 correctly, it is a 1% tolerance. Can I use the ones from radio shack (4 for 1.49 & local)?

You need to create your own thread, as this is getting way OT.
