Hello all,

On my way to pick up a dedicated Ms. Pac in pretty bad shape.
Picking her up for $70.00. Complete, but wont turn on.

First thing I'm gonna do is check the board to see if its working.

I already assume, that the power supply or transformers are shot.
The fuses are in good shape, as are the connectors that hold them in place.

If anybody is interested in helping me troubleshoot step by step, that would be cool, as this is my first restoration project. I do own a pretty clean dedicated Pac- Man for reference, so that helps I suppose.

Thanks in advance for your interest, and pics will be posted as soon as I get it respectable. Lol
if that's possible.

Cheers!

shit half the time something isn't plugged in all the way :) Power supply, board(s), then monitor... Often it is just a power supply issue... do you know how to use a multimeter to measure for 120 AC, +5 DC, -5 DC, +12 DC ? These are the essential voltages... some games will have -12 DC and 6.3 DC(like a taito)... Ms. Pac has (AC,+5,-5,+12) Check these coming out of power supply... pinouts are very helpful and there are many sites on the net and many kind people on here that will help out... no/low voltages at board= no game... if the voltages are good then the next thing is the board... if NOTHING works (marquee lights, etc) it is probably power supply.

I've brought it back to life! There was a set of fuses on the left side, hidden by a peice of green paper that I didn't see. One was blown. :) The flourecent marquee light blows every bulb I put in it. Bright flash, Wondering why. Any ideas?

good score and good job bring it back to life. they go pretty cheap not working, but it dont take to much to fix them. thats how i built my arcade.
