I thought you guys would enjoy seeing my end-of-summer Ms. Pac-Man Cabaret project! I picked up the beauty here on Cape. Last year I went and checked out the cab, but I reluctantly had to walk away because the seller wouldn't budge on his $300 price tag...September 2nd of this year rolled around and his wife was tired of seeing the cab sit and stew in the garage. $100.00 later and she was in my mini-van, heading home (the cab, not his wife..she was a hottie though). The cab was neglected, but the foundation for a great machine was there. My biggest letdown was the control panel, it had a dent running from one side to the other, and the CPO had been replaced with some generic blue textured vinyl. The bezel had some flaking, but I took this as an opportunity to fix up my first flaking piece of glass! Turned out nice, I had to touch up some of the black w/ acrylic paint, but you'd never notice the damage unless you're on the search.
The security lock bar holes have to be plugged and painted w/ acrylic paint, but that's a minor step. I'm going to use a good-quality artist's brush and try to continue the grain of the wood, blending in different colors as needed. Oh and before anyone starts in, I KNOW the coin door is pulled from another cab
