I know that the poles can factor in the monitor becoming gaussed and all, but this is kind of ridiculous. we moved our Ms. Pac/Galaga about 3 weeks ago from where the game was facing west to a spot where it now faces north. I noticed that the upper right corner was magnetized in the new spot and tried degaussing it to no avail.
as soon as I turned the cab back to how it faced before, it goes away completely. no game around it is affecting it, it's literally the way it's placed. if I started turning the game facing east, the entire screen would become red and green in the middle, as if the magnetic interference is shifting from right to left.
I noticed the yoke was a little crooked and straightened that out and remembered that the yoke placement could have something to do with the monitor getting magnetized, is this true?
the convergence is kinda fucked on it along the sides (the top and bottom if the monitor was oriented horizontally obviously), but the rings are still in their factory sealed position so I left it alone.
the monitor is a WG K7400.
as an added bonus, I forget if the K7400 had an additional width pot near the width coil or not, I need to decrease the overall width on it, the pot on the remote board won't go any narrower. I lack an adjustment tool for the width coil... should probably get on the horn to Bob soon.
