MS Pac cocktail advice...

1. The wrinkling is normal in underlays. The only way to fix it is to replace it. PM VicShaf on here, he sells great Namco licensed repros.
Don't be afraid to remove it from the glass, it's not paper so it won't tear. Even if someone glued it down.
2. Try flipping it? Maybe to switch from fast to slow? Ms. Pac-Man to Pac-Man? Normal to difficult?
3. BONDO! You will have to get new woodgrain but at least you don't have to replace the whole side.

phoenixarcade.com has screen printed glass. The underlays were not original, the art was screen printed on the glass. the underlays may have been a cheap replacement for broken glass.

I have a Galaxian cocktail that has some small chunks out of it. My thought was to bondo it and find someone that can match he color and airbrush the pattern on it.

I know bondo is required - I don't plan on replacing the woodgrain, just the chunk in the corner if I can get away with it. I was really wondering if anyone had ever patched something like this and how it turned out.

Thanks for the suggestions - I appreciate it.

That's good to know! I'm sure if the underlay WAS original, it would have been cheap paper or cardboard - and I would have torn it.

I have removed the glass now, and the plastic is actually quite nice (thick enough to not rip, but is missing a few small chunks here and there on the edge) It looks like beer / soda / who knows what ever else. It should clean up nicely - what are the odds on me removing graphics if I go after it with a Mr. Clean (OK, cheap Wal-Mart subsistute..) Magic Eraser?
A Magic Eraser shouldn't harm it as long as you don't clean the printed side. THe printed side you can use Goo Gone. It's called Lexan, very good stuff.

You might be able get a wood grain laminate at a hardware store to fix the missing corner.
I saw a Upright Ms Pac in Denver that was $150 a couple month's back it was sold by the time I answered the ad missed out on that one
