Ms Pac cabaret restoration. Marquee and coin lights not working

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been doing a restoration on my ms pac cabaret and I have hit a wall. I replaced all the bulbs in the marquee and the 25cent areal and they do not light whwen powered up. I checked the fuses and they appreared to be all good. I will admit that I do not know very much about the workings so if there is something easy i am overlooking, please don't hold back.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I did not. And i actually don't have one. So maybe I will just replace all the fuses since they arent expensive?

Fuses are indeed cheap. You may want to buy new fuse holders at radio shack or clean the current ones with a steel brush or sand paper. First step is checking them with a multimeter to ensure they are making proper connectivity.

I highly recommend spending a few extra bucks for an autoranging digital multimeter rather than an analog one. Especially for a beginner, it will be much easier to use since you don't have to worry about having it set on the correct range or wondering which scale you're supposed to be reading on the meter face. Something like this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3623264

Thanks guys. So can i get these fuses at radioshack? They are standard right? If that doesn't work, then I will get te multimeter and troubleshoot it from there

I cannot echo the previous gentlemens' comments enough.

SAME exact problem several weeks ago with my Ms Pacman cocktail. Fuse looked good, but tested bad. And if it's original and you can solder, I would recommend just replacing the entire fuse holders while you're out there. Cost me < $10 for everything at RadioShack. The fuse holders come in a "4" pack and you can break them apart if needed.

Also, make sure that you use the correct bulbs. I accidentally put #55 wedge bulbs from my pinballs in there. Whoops!

Not a bad idea about the fuse holders. Do the existing fuse holders tell which fuses go where. In my haste, I assumed they were all the same amperage and didn't notice where each one goes. And of course I misplaced the owners manual. ARRRGH!

Almost finished though. I'm going to make some custom 25cent pieces, buy the midway plaque and that should be it. I'm doing a cuatome cabinet rather then the original look.

Thanks to everyone for their help. I replaced the fuses and I have illumination!!!

On a side note, I replaced all 5 bulbs in my Galaga Cabaret marquee bulb holders with LED bulbs from coin taker. Looks great and really cuts down on the heat!
