I recently picked up a Ms Pac UR from SRW. This was very cool and a long time coming.

He told me the monitor worked but the board was dead. No problem.

I bought a good one from my homie, DJ DNS.

Slapped it in there and still nothing but a white screen.

Checked the fuses and (3) were shot. Replaced them to specs. Nothing.

Retraced all the connectors and leads. Made sure everything was tight and connected.

Nothing but a white screen. Ideas? :dontknow:

You sure the monitor works? And the board? Tested working before your very eyes in another cabinet?

Hard to know where to start if you don't have known working components to begin with...

Monitor power up fine. Has neck glow. Powers up to a white screen.

Bought board from DJ DNS, tested and working. If you can trust, DJ DNS, who can you trust here?

White screen

1. Adjust the brightness on the flyback

no change = no +5vdc on the board

2. Test all fuses
3. Test the diodes in the power section of the board. (Most pac boards are tested using DC voltage. A pac cab powers the board with AC. If you apply DC to a pac board with a bad diode it will run fine as long as it is not open. If you apply AC to a pac board with a bad diode, usually it will blow the fuses.)

The old girl is working fine. Had bad corroded connections. Old trans was beat. Fuses kept blowing out. Wound up getting a new transformer from Riptor and works fine. She's singing her tune again.

After removing the old wiring and tf, I found more burn wires and the grounds werent soldered. So, I have one to rebuild and I will have two on hand.

Thanks, Riptor!
