I am about to order one of these for my Tron that went out. Anyone have experience in these? Easy to install? I was about done with the cosmetics of my Tron and now my board isn't getting power and I just want the power supply upgraded. Any tips would be great. Thanks.

Have you tried fixing the linear power board in yours? Or finding another?

I had one of these in my spy hunter for a very short period of time before pulling it in favor of a fixed linear power board. The audio had horrible hummmmmmm with the switcher and this board installed but it's more of a problem with Spy Hunter than it is with Tron.

I'm looking into a fixes linear now. Audio hum is a problem with Tron as is.

I had a horrible hum with the switcher/mcr adapter in my Spy Hunter. I installed the recommended cap inbetween the 12v & ground and the hum was cut down to almost nothing. I got a switcher/mcr in my Tron & DOT with no hum problems. I actually had more of a hum in the Tron prior to installing the switcher/mcr adapter. I think the pins on the MCR P/S connectors were worn. May be worth it just to have the switcher/mcr adapter as a back up.

I have been reading up on the Tron audio hum and came across something. I noticed on my power supply that JW4 had been cut. I read that that was a factory recommended mod for op's to do to reduce the audio hum. Not sure if that will help yours but it might be worth a try if you are planning on sticking with the original linear PS.
