Hello,
I was wondering what the 2011 price guide is for a good working Black Hole Pinball and a good working Haunted House.
I recently bought both these pins and wanted to see about where I,m at according to the guide.

Thank You,

Dave.

I use this summary of ebay sales. I think this beats any price guide since this is what people actually pay. However it has some things to notice, you cannot see things like the state of the machine or working/non working.

For your Black Hole pin it has an avarage price of around 850 dollar and the Haunted House has an average price of 1430 dollar.

Actually, go to http://www.bostonpinball.biz and click on 'ebay sales summary' at the top - the link from XNIF is to one of their older summaries. If you go from the front page, you'll always get the latest summary (at this writing the latest is May 2011).

For me personally I prefer pinpedia.com. This doesn't break ANYTHING down by condition and that's really where these hard cover guides differ.
But to be honest I absolutely despise mrpinball or pineric guides. I give them kudos for taking time out of their lives to do this but the REAL WORLD prices all to often majorly differ from their guides.

The only people I know that use mrpinballs guide is local retailers or local OPs. BOTH try getting retail value and that's where the guides hurts the buyers. . Mrpinballs prices are typically higher while pinErics guide can be all over the place (too high or too low). But I think we all lose focus on the word "guide". Much like a map, it simply gives you an idea of how to get there ;)

In the end, the ONLY thing that matters is if you enjoy the game. Of course unless you just bought these to flip that's a whole different ball game.

Thanks members

I guess from a little more browsing, I seen this subject has been brought up on numerous occasions. Anyhow I appreciate you responses and I did book mark the link for future reference.

Mr Pin puts the Black Hole at $1,000 and the Haunter House at $1400. Check the bostonpinball sales for the last 6 months, Black Hole has an avg of 854 but the last 6 mths is $687, prices have dropped recently. Haunted house has gone from $1427 to $1205.

Thanks Jerry

I'm into both my pins a bit more than the reference guide. But they both play very well, and are in very good condition, I enjoy them for the most part. In my own opinion they were the two best pins of the early 80's.
