OK we just built a new house and we are getting ready to move. I have 12 machines down in the basement of our current condo that need transplanted. I called the local moving company (2 men and a truck) and they won't touch em for liability reasons. My friends all offered to help, but I don't want one of them to come crashing down on someones head. Ideas???? Is there a nationally known moving company that is "moving" friendly? NAVL? The games are travelling about 10 miles in Ohio.

I moved all of my games by myself (though not upstairs) from the old house to the new one.
I didn't want someone else messing them up.

Get 1 man to help and do it one at a time. Since you live so close you can haul over 1 or 2 at a time over a weeks time and it won't seem so bad.

I'd rent an appliance dolly from your local u-haul, budget or penske...
They make moving large things like arcades a snap and even have stair climbers attached....could have them all moved in a few hrs...

I've learned the hard way that movers don't share the same caution when moving things of importance as you would...sometimes you don't notice the damage they have done til months later when it's too late...

+1 on having your friends help instead :)

Congrats on moving into your new home btw :D

Do the friends thing...and remember to always pull the appliance dolly onto the truck, never push. Pizza and beer help, but during the move...cola :)

And make sure there's always a friend at the ready when your bringing the game into the truck or the room, incase it starts to run away and plant you and said game into a pile of stuff and game is the biggest monstrosity you own.

Just sayin, maybe from experience. ;-)
