So tomorrow morning me and a couple of buds are going 7 hours to buy some games. We have a 18 foot open trailer that were going to haul them on. The floor of the trailer is all metal. We have ratchet straps up to wazoo to secure them down. My question is this...is it ok to have the games bare on the trailer floor? I'm kind of worried about bumps in the road and such. I'm wondering if I should bring a bunch of blankets or something to put under the games for a bit of extra cushion. I'm thinking arcades were not really ment to handle the bumping, jarring and vibration of the road for 7-8 hours. Any advice? BTW...most of the games are Daytona USA's.

Small bumps are ok and the small ones will do nothing. I would bring some cardboard to wedge inbetween your cabinets and I found old sleeping bags work too. Face the games (screens) to the back. A stray rock flying will just hit the back of your cabinet and not the front.

I use the shipping plastic wrap. You can get different withs. Everyplace sells it, walmart, lowes, uhaul, ect. I found it helps with dirt, bugs, water and everything else that hits the machines on the road. I had a friend haul a DK that way and the machine made it home fine without the bezel. The wind had pulled or pushed it out somewhere on the interstate. Wrapping with plastic stops that too.

I have a humongous roll of shipping plastic wrap that I'm going to use to seal the games up after I load them. I'm glad I asked. I would have never thought of that. Thanks!

If you have any quilts, jamming them tight between games helps a lot in a crammed-truck scenario. Even with a lot of wrap a sudden tilt of one cab can leave a nice ding in another once, the quilts work as great shock absorbers in my experience. Moved 12 cabs in a small u-haul that way, crazy rough ride but no damage on any of them at the end. Best of luck, be sure to post pics of the haul!
