moving away from monitor with isolation transformer

I'm moving a Defender cab from using a G07 (going to use in another machine) to a Wells Gardner D9500, which basically plugs into the wall with a three-prong plug. What's the process for doing this? I don't want to blow anything up by having the isolation transfomer running without a monitor plugged into it.

Thanks!
Gary

Thanks Dave!

On a similar note, on a Double Dragon cab, there is an accessory three-prong outlet that has "mon" written right next to it. If I plug directly into that, is it safe to assume that that outlet goes through the isolation transformer and the transformer will be kept happy as a result?

That is a service outlet, and it does not run off of the iso. In addition that outlet has power at all times when the game is plugged into the wall.

Oh crud. So the isolation transformer may get pissed off. Do I need to make a three prong->power cable that plugs into the isolation transformer then?

Just re-read what you wrote about the outlet having mon written next to it. Check it with a meter to see if it comes off of the iso.

couldn't you just splice the old AC wiring from the G07 to the wall plug (cut off the wall outlet part) or is that ill-advised?

The outlet is switched, but it isn't connected to the isolation transformer. Since the isolation transformer isn't being used for anything, I disconnected it. All is well. :)
