Ron's guide makes it sound like it's sure-death (or almost) to transport a juke on it's back...

...is it really that bad to do so? Any recommendations? I have a truck with a shell so it's not going to stand up.

Toppers are removable. I wouldn't transport it on its back. It can't be good for that floating turntable.

Well... I decided to rent a covered trailer.

I'm picking up a Seeburg SMC1 Disco tonight. Working. With records and extras. Full manual set. Extra stylus.

When I first bought my 454, it was transported on its back. No problems at all. Not sure of the mileage, but it was over an hour drive. The floating turntable is no problem because there are nuts at all four corners that you tighten down and it holds the turntable solidly in place so it's not floating.

Well,

I rented a trailer for $20.00 and transported it right-side up.

I now have a working juke in the gameroom.

Woot.
