I had to take it apart to move it. It moved all of 15'. After I put it all back together the screen is green and red lines. I can get the lines to speed up or slow down with the adjustments, but no picture. I made sure the connections I took off were in correctly.

Not sure where to start on this one?

I believe they are solid lines. The game is at our camp which has no phone or internet, so this is going to be slow going with what to try. I am going to be up there this weekend so I figure I will try any and all suggestions.

This is my first entry into these old games. Please consider me an idiot with verbiage.

I can get them stable, but they constantly flicker a bit. Moving the knobs in the back I can speed up the lines cycling or get them to stay in one spot.

Bumb to see if there is anything else to try before I head up to camp.

Move it back. :)

Check the power supply, Fuses, connectors. You will need a meter to do this and is always a handy tool to have.

Use a pencil eraser on the connector edge of pcb (Printed Circuit Board).

Next time you may want to take pics. of all connectors you pull off.

Thanks for all the replies. I double checked all the connectors I took off which was two.

Will be up at camp again in a couple weeks so I will check all fuses and power supply. I have a decent meter will just have to remember to bring it.

I also have an extra monitor that was given to me when I bought it. I will bring that and plug it in to see if anything different happens.

Anyone want to trade some snowmobiling camp time, for some supersprint instruction and repair?

Got it fixed.

After spending 4 hours checking anything and everything I could in ignorance, I tried to put in the free monitor only to find that the connections were not the same........ grrrr

Put the old one back in, and started playing with the controls. Got a big pop and flash from the rear board on the neck of the tube when I was messing with them.

On a whim I noticed that the plug that goes from the monitor to the board could be put on either way. When I reversed it everything worked fine. Took another 15 min to re-adjust the picture.

What a way to waste a afternoon. Thanks for the suggestions and help.

Still have the question in my last post? Anyone willing to work on these things in trade for vacation home use in northern NH?

NH is a bit far for me, but feel free to ping me. I'm not an expert, but I have a SuperSprint and have logged a fair number of hours under the hood.

Can't tell from your last post, but is it working or dead? Also, you mentioned a free monitor. SS is a medium res game. If you hooked up a standard res, it won't work. Also, that game uses a huge video board that connects via an edge connector to the main board. Check that connection.

Thanks for the reply. Just got back from traveling for holidays.

Yes it is up and running. I had a pin 180 out. The way the wires wanted to be told me to install the wrong way. Everything works now.

Not sure on the monitor. Came with it. He told me it was good, but unless I start cutting and splicing wires it will not hook up. Now I am thinking I am going to try to sell it.

Just took a real good look at it again. There is no way to tell which way to put that plug on the board. I marked it for future reference, but unless it is unique to my game (aka previous owner did his own wiring job) I wonder if others have had this same problem and assumed monitors were bad or boards were bad?

Just an FYI
