Can anyone tell me the best way to move a pinball machine is ?

I am trying to buy one and need to transpot it by truck and then carry it up a flight of stairs.

Yea I know good luck.

legs on ? legs off ?

I will take any advice thanks

legs off, head folded down on top of playfield or if a older model removed. lay cardboard between head and playefield glass, wrap whole thing in that clear packing wrap to protect from scratching

Plus get all the balls out or anything else loose in the cab.

take balls out.legs off head off make sure you mark plugs and dont bull then .if head is a fold down put pading between head and body and strap it down.

All of the previous advice plus:

If it's just one game, I've found the most valuable tools are a pizza, a six pack and a couple of friends (distributed after the move, of course). Lots of padding and take it slow and it should be okay.

Like everyone else said, remove balls, unbolt the head and lay it down on the playfield glass with cardboard between and then ratchet strap the 2 together then remove legs and load.
