I just picked up a Mousin Around Pinball Machine. The scoreboards are not working at all. Everything else seems to work fine. The scoreboards look like they are in good cond as well. The guy I purchased the pin off of said the scoreboards were fine when he put the machine in storage 2 years ago...

I do not see any switched illumination on the playfield. I only see general illumination lit. Appears the machine is not booted up.

Plus you have a corroded battery holder and leaky batteries.

Likely the mpu suffered damage from being stored with batteries in it. You can check the ps and display boards to see if they are getting +100 and -100v, or blown fuses on the power supply can be a sign of a bad chip on the display boards, however, until you get the mpu booting you may not know if they work..

Ken, I have to press the advance button in the coin door twice and switch the power on and off once to get it to play. Whats up with that?

Guys, here is my game plan.

1. Remove the corroded batteries.

2. Clean the battery holder and connections.

3. Install new batteries.

4. Check fuses.

5. Check for +100v and -100v going to the score boards.

Hopefully this will fixer!

Feel free to add to the list!!!

Cut that battery holder off the board now and clean up and leakage damage. Install a brand new REMOTE battery holder away from the board.

Hey guys that got'er up and going! Everything seems to work great except the score boards. I checked the voltages going to each scoreboard. The first pin is-102v pin 2&3 are +3.9-4.5v pin 4 is -102v. Is this right?
