I have read several posts in many forums trying to fihure out why the Diverter arm on the top ramp of my Mousin Around would not stay open/closed, it worked and would try to reset but after about four trys on powerup it would quit trying. I took mine off and shot a quick video of my issues and what I did to repair it, as there are no good parts diagrams for this or video info on it. Another thing I did not mention in the video is the adjustment of the two nutz on the plunger arm, you can adjust these for travel of the arm, and length of the plunge so to speak, but mine were pretty good...anyhow, video for reference sake..

That looks like the one I welded last spring, if it is, the threaded part was broke off the plunger and they are not available..so I welded a bolt onto a used plunger that normally was used on a swing shot kicker. The end production ended up being about 3/16 longer and that is why you had to play with the spring tension and other adjustments. I told the fellow KLOVer that I done that repair for that he would need to experiment with it, but I think the game got traded before the final adjustment were done. I used a used plunger because I really did not think it would work at all to weld one up, and when it did I just left it rather then trying make another with a new plunger. Glad you got the bugs out of it, that is better then the tape that originally held the gate closed.

If it is the same Game the original was left in the bottom to compare to.

Not sure, there was nothing in the cab so to speak, but the gate was working,, just not catching, and it was literally filthy with grease, like 20 years of it.., works good now though..

Does it look like a "bolt" was welded on the plunger? Just curious. Not very often you see a video of a previous repair that you had done. I did lube the end where it runs metal on metal but it should not look like 20 years worth, and you are right, the rest should have no lubes at all.

Glad you got it going. I had tried adjusting the two nuts on it, and tried messing with the spring tension.. I could get it to lock and unlock properly with my hand, but not when playing a game. Anyway, glad it was an inexpensive fix.
