Mounting screen & focus knobs after 20ez flyback replacement

I am about to replace the flyback on a sanyo 20ez. The replacement flyback does not have mounting holes for the screen & focus knobs. Any tips on mounting the knobs so they still can be accessed though the holes in the HV cage?

Thanks!

Cut off the plastic part on the old flyback that attached to the screen/focus knob plate. (I use a dremel or a utility knife) Then attach the screen/focus knob plate to that piece of plastic with the screw that was used before. Then hold it up to the metal bracket to the right of the flyback so that it is positioned where it used to be. Then drill a small hole through the metal bracket and the plastic you took off the flyback. Put in a screw and you're done.

Or if you're lazy just cover up the exposed metal with tape. Adjust the monitor and let it sit. That's the real lazy way ;)
