I've been needing to mount my DK JR PCB inside its respective cabinet for a while now. When I got the DK JR cab, the boards were sitting on a wooden shelf with a piece of cardboard in between them; there are no screws or brackets holding the PCB in place. There is also no metal plate between the PCB's. The PCB is still in this "unmounted" state currently. I think the only original sort of original mounting hardware in the cab was a rusty L bracket above the wooden PCB shelf.

Tried searching for some ideas on this but came up short; I'm assuming there is a better/more professional way of doing this than screwing the boards to a piece of wood inside the cabinet.

DKJR boards were mounted at the factory by the metal plate brackets that your PCB is lacking. They mated with the L brackets that are attached to the inside of your Nintendo cab. There should be 2 of them. A bolt went up thru both PCB mounting plate brackets into the L brackets and were secured with a wing nut from the top. The metal bracket also has a mounted wire harness tie.

Nice detailed description, think I'll be able to homebrew up a mounting device after reading this. As for the Pen idea, I would have never thought of that in a million years.

Guess I'll have to buy Bob's adjustable PCB holder if all else fails :)

wow that's borderline genius!

Wish i could take credit for it but i saw it a long time ago on a different forum. Not so great when trying to restore something to how it was originally.

Otherwise works great though. Used them in my MAME cab.
