Mounting a non-original monitor in a Nintendo cab

Not sure about how it will fit, but you will need a video inverter board of some sorts since the PCB puts out inverted video.

I got all that covered, just wondering about mounting it in place!

Well, did you see what happens when you try sticking it in there? Does it line up?!?! I have seen DKs with Vision Pros in them, I bet the bolt pattern is somewhat normal.

The current monitor is in there horizontally, so I will either order a vertical mounting kit, or make one up...depending on the answers I get here, of course!

You could use the existing monitor bracket holes and make your own if they don't line up.

The inverted video and audio might be an issue but you could get a Nintendo to JAMMA adapter which takes care of both.

any horizontal monitor will work fine as is without modification.

but to mount it vertically you need to find a vertical mount frame.
or your back door will not fit back in the cab without a hole cut in it.

use all the standard Nintendo mounting brackets and you will be fine with a vertical frame mounted monitor.

i have done this a few times with conversions i have gotten.

I just swapped the tube and chassis into an original Dk frame and then mounted it using the original mounting hardware.
