I come across AC gear motors used in a number of games and what seems to cause most of the problems are the bushing in the rear of the motor. They seem to dry out and after awhile there is enough wear on them to cause problems starting up. The rest of the motor and gears never seem to really wear out or break. I can add more oil to the sponge part near the busing and that will help but I really need to just change the bushing part but I can't seem to find that one little part being sold by itself. Has anyone experienced the same thing and found a place to buy just this part? I get the motors mainly from Grainger.com but they don't sell the bushings.
Thanks
Russ

I always try to find replacement motors with fans. They
last much longer.

no one sells replacement bushings for those motors. Try drillspot dot com for the motors. They are cheaper than Grainger, or do a google search for them. Most times you can find them on feebay.

If you really want to replace the bushings, you can go to a local machine shop and have them made. It might cost you almost as much as the motor.

The few(2?) that I have had that problem with, I take the bushing(s) to the machine shop and have new ones made. Cheap, fast, and have worked great for me.

Anyone have any reference on the motor used in Jungle Jive?

I pulled some numbers off the one in our Dinoscore and will check into that later.
