I thought of this question this evening after accidentally selecting "Cabal" on my MAME machine today and going ahead and playing it.

I mean, at some point in the game, it starts this "arrg arrrg arrrg... arrrg" sound that sounds like a troll about to blow his wad, and then, when you clear a level, you look like some middle school dork receiving an Atomic Wedgie as you dance up the battlefield. WTF?

What games seem unintentionally ridiculous to you?

The laughing sound?

The English that comes up in subtitled scenes on Operation Wolf II are frickin hilarious...

My vote is for Michael Jacksons Moonwalker. Play it and you'll see why.

YES!

I hadn't played Moonwalker since I was a kid, until I played it at CAX last weekend. I forgot about the part where you get attacked by giant, mechanical, thrusting dicks.

I'm pretty sure that the other guy playing the game with me was the lead guitarist for The Megas. Fun times.

hello people this is the winner!! although was it ever an arcade game or just console?

zero wing inspired all of the all of your base are belong to us stuff

Somebody will chime in and post the true winner, there's this one game people were posting a video from about 5 months ago that's just god awful. It was released with glitches and just strangeness the whole time you're playing it.

Lyons, you're talking about Trio the Punch. But I think the developers did intentionally make the game that way. Read the wiki on it.

But I'd say that Rastan 2/Nastar is an unintentionally ridiculous game.

I laugh every time I tried to play Spinal Breakers just because they named their main character, and super soldier... Captain Waffle.

WTF?!

Definitely Ring King. The "trainers" give you lots of "pep" between rounds. It doesn't help that all the boxers look like 70s porn stars.

I love Ring King. You're right, it's cheesy, but I still admit I really enjoy playing it on MAME. Make a guy go flying out of the ring? Awesome. Do the little muscle show after a win? Classic.

The console version of between rounds is much more suggestive than the arcade version, IMO.

Typing of the Dead is a laugh riot, especially when playing with two people. At least the Dreamcast and PC ports are. Some of the phrases it has you type are hillarious, and the voice acting is so terrible it's funny.

One time it put up the phrase 'french tickler'! I was laughing so hard it cost me a hit.
