Most money found in a game machine thread

This won't be a winner, but a local businessman had a Watling Scale he hadn't gotten into in 20 years.

I pulled out a 12" bowl full of pennies, nickels and dimes.

Maybe I won by pure weight. The coin box was full. The coins were running up the drop chute.
The 300# hooker from CA took the win by weight category late last night.

Not sure if any of you have found 100 yen coins in any games. If so, I'm looking to buy 100 yen coins.

My biggest "haul" was a variety of 30 to 40 arcade tokens from a Crusin World sold to me by @newsheriffintown. None of the tokens were interesting, all generic :)
If we're counting tokens I got a huge bag of them with my first game (Galaga). Chuck E. Cheese. Brought back some memories. And no surprise they were all covered in pizza grease. 😂😂

I found a Donkey Kong Jr. in a Donkey Kong (yeah that's where they come from).

In all seriousness, I found about 5 bucks of change in my Track and Field.

I have heard people buying a converted game and all of the original game items are neatly packed and labeled, attached securely in the inside. I want to find a machine like that one day, haha.

Never more than chump change unfortunately. No big scores. I have found some interesting old tokens from chain arcades I forgot ever existed.

Probably the coolest was a 1978 quarter I found wedged between the marquee and it's lower bracket of my Asteroids. Presumably trapped there for 40 years. It reminded me of how we used to claim a place in line to play busy games.

Whoever put this quarter up probably cussed and tried unsuccessfully to dig it out with a flattened straw. That's what I would've done.

I could so use that Stern cab...

;)

Most for me was around $34 or so in a pair of Gauntlet Legends... that I got for $50.00... (no kidding).

I finally got around to opening the Motorace I picked up in Feb. Found $10.75 inside. The oldest quarter was 1964 and the newest was 1990. Based on the condition of the cab, the last time it was played was probably in 1990. 😀
