Mortal Kombat X day-1 DLC/microtransactions (grrrr …)

i know … i know … "everyone is doing it blah blah blah" but what happened to simply getting the game you paid for, not "we are giving you 100% of the game, but you're only allowed to access 75% of it unless you pay more money"?

in terms of things like expansion packs for games/post-game-release DLC (extra content that had to be developed AFTER a game comes out and brings new/fresh content) i get that costing additional bucks. but IMO it's total crap that people paying full price for the new MK X are being told they have to pay above and beyond their $60 for additional content available as day-1 DLC.

paying for easy-to-execute fatalities???? where's the skill in that?!

That's why i'm selling my xbox one. It is a great system, the games are great, i really enjoy it.. but there's no point in getting new things because they don't work for weeks/months. I was one of the poor shits who went through the master chief collection debacle. Bought the game returned it and bought it again.

It's just how it is now.

As far as the gameplay itself, I am waiting on zeno's full thoughts on it. If he likes it, then it's good enough for me.

ive been playing it on the ps4, and i love it.

my biggest complaint is that the key presses dont seem accurate.
for example: back, down X should be a move for a character, but sometimes it doesnt register.

maybe its just my controller.

I'm really liking it but the moves are VERY time-specific. Meaning in order to perform certain moves/combos, your timing has to be nearly frame-perfect. It's going to take some getting used to. As for the game itself, the mechanics aren't too different from MK9 or Injustice. It's just something that will take longer than the game only being out 2 days to really gather a full review on.

did you go for the Kombat Pack (or whatever it's called) to get Jason, Goro, etc?

Goro was a pre-order bonus , luckily I got the PC version from greenman with a 22% discount, so I only paid $44. Nothing in the kombat pack interests me enough to drop $30 on it. I'll wait for a steam sale.

I will never own an xbox3 or ps4, screw them.
I do have a wiiu and new 3ds, but Nintendo has started doing dlc too. If it get real bad I will be done with them too.
I am happy to collect classic consoles. My turbografix, snes and genesis is probably more then enough to keep me good for the rest of my life.

i also didn't move to the xbox one or ps4, i bought 6 xbox 360 [retail] and 3 ps3 [retail] and about 150-200 [release day full price] games for both system.

this is money they will no longer have from me, decided to go full blown arcade or PC [steam].

i should be selling off all this stuff in a few months.

I saw that no one has been able to play with Goro yet? Is that true? I'd love to see him in action especially his bone breakers and fatalities

im not buying the season pass. its bullshit to me.
4 characters and a bunch of costumes? no thanks.

if i want more characters, i'll buy them separatly, or just wait for a sale.

Goro is neat, but not a character I would choose to use for the majority of plays, was a neat freebie, the Kombat Pack is disappointing, as figured would get them on day 0, paid for it (well included in price of limited edition Gamestop version ) but then have to wait, that sucks, agreed its very precise on pulling moves off etc, that would be my gripe, as I still prefer SF or even KI as a easier pickup and play fighter right now, maybe need to give it more time

When I pre-ordered the Kollector's Edition from GameStop, I didn't have any DLC to install. Maybe you should stop being so cheap?

I picked it up a few days ago and really digging it, I bought goro today on my lunch for $4.99 but im not going to drop $30.00 for the other 4 characters. really fun and graphic game, I have it for PS4.
