According to http://mortal-kombat-ii.software.informer.com/wiki/

Mortal Kombat II Arcade Version 2.0 - Very rare version of the arcade game where during the "Finish "Him/Her" sequence of the game, you could perform as many finishing moves as the player wanted in the allotted time. Constant Babalaties could be performed, causing numerous babies to appear on screen. Performing the character's Fatality would usually end the sequence entirely. If you performed the Fatality after a Babality or Friendship, the opponent's image would typically freeze on screen (Regardless if the "baby version" of the opponent was already on screen.) rather than go through the Fatality animation.

If you could perform multiple fatalities, that would be badass. Rev 2.1 lets you do multiple babalities/friendships, but multiple fatalities would be way cooler. Thanks for the info! Shoot me the roms, I'll dump them and send them to Bulldawg.

That's awesome always cool to see more MK stuff being discovered. And here I was content having a 3.1 revision.

Hehe yes, it's nice having the most complete version, but it's still no rare just-discovered version. ;) I hope you're able to find one too, too bad I don't have an extra board.

It would be cool to used Johnny Cage and head punch until you're standing on a mountain of heads

Like this....?

This is a hack I did called "Projectile Insanity." It's too unstable to run on real hardware, so it has to be played in Mame. I know it's not MK2, but it's related to your post...

:)

I seriously thought we were done finding MK2 revisions.

Isn't that cool tho? Not exactly knowing what revisions are there... It's part of the kriptikality of MK!

lol a new line for Shao Kahn: KRIPTIKALITY!

i think this 2.0 hack might have just revived my want to upgrade some of my boards again. i love the multiple babality revision (aka 2.1), multiple fatalities would be wonderful (in that messed up kinda way).

Did you fill in the wiki info? Because I just viewed it awhile back and dont remember a submission for rev 2.0.

I sent them to zenomorp and it'll follow the chain of command to eventually end up on MAME. Isn't that awesome?

Once the 2.0 is released are you going to burn them?

No I didn't actually. I just got the board two days ago and it comes from a warehouse where it was since 17 years.

Ho right bulldawg, your the mame guy that zenomorp will send the roms to right?

Yeah im the one. Though I'm not a mame guy, I just happen to know the right person to get these added to mame.

This is not a hack but rather an early revision that was not widely distributed like the rev 3.00 roms. Thats why we never heard of them before. I just wonder who wrote up the wiki because they must have it or seen it before themselves. I dont understand why people wont to hoard these things and not share for all to enjoy. I personally thank you for sharing these roms and I will make sure you get credit from the mame guys for the dump.
