Here's a video of the glitch I'm talking about. Possibly this is caused by the chip that handles the scalable objects? If so, I'm not smart enough to know which one does this. I've already looked over the board and see no trace damage and no bent legs shorting to each other. I've reseated all the chips I can. I don't have a PLCC puller, so those have yet to be reseated. All the self tests pass during power up. Any ideas?

it's to my understanding that when you have little graphical anomalies like these, it's a RAM failure. like with messed up shadows or whatever. I had something a couple months ago where the text was all blocky and distorted, it was caused by one of the socketed chips having a cracked socket... a ziptie around that held it together tight and fixed it I guess.

I rarely operate my MK2 board.

the only other catastrophic issue I had was the random "CUSTOM CHIP UE13 BAD" error, and that was caused by corrosion on the game rom chip legs... I love dumb solutions like those. lol

if you got some free time, and some spare bucks, you might be able to haul in a "dead" MK2 board that's missing roms and drop your set in, see if that works. otherwise you have to get your tech genius on and start looking for the bad RAM chips.

PM channelmanic, he might have additional information to help you.

The RAM tested good at power up. That's the reason I switched to this board from a previous one. My previous board had a RAM error that failed on self test.
