Hey guys,

Just curious, what buttons would not be functional if a standard JAMMA setup would be used without the extra buttons/cables for MKII/3?

Thanks

Ah, ok. I guess that would render one kickless, lol. Thanks for the info ;)

Low kick and Low Punch actually, and Run if MK3/4

You get High Punch Block and High Kick.

Technically it is how you wire it, you could have any three you want. The "kick harness" however adds Low kick, Low punch and Run. You lose the Kicks on SF2 and Killer Instinct. MK maps differently.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the additional info. I guess I could get most functions working with the kick cable. I am using neo controllers, so I would only have 4 of the 5 buttons at most though. Might be able to work something out though ;)

It can be played with four buttons...just disclude one of them probably Block...you might be able to wire it so that you have the fifth button by pressing 2 buttons at once.

how is that possible? the jamma harness only supports hp/hk/block and is in no way tied to the kick harness pins. (or is it?)

the only way i can see that happening is if you were to solder or somehow connect the hp/hk/block to the kick harness pins.
