I have a MK II in a rampage cab that I want to get into a dedicated one. I have a line on a working complete MK4.
I know there are slight differences between MK1 - 4. Is it an easy swap to put in my MK II boards into that cab? Any issues that I might run into? Just unplug sound and main pcb and replug?

Possibility of running 4 AND 2 in the same cab?

I never liked 4, but just can't find a dedicated II cab.

With the exception of MK1 Y-unit board, MK1-MK4 are all wired the same and are all interchangeable. If you got the MK4, all you'd need to do is remove the MK4 board, install the MK2 board and re-hook up the Player 3 harness to the MK2 board. That's it.

:)

i don't think you'll run into any issues at all

you can definitely run 2 and 4 in the same cab as well :D

zeno beat me to the punch

Just reminding him that he will have to drill/punch that extra button.

he's getting a MK4 cab and putting his MK2 (which is currently in a rampage cab) into it (or would like to). at least that's how i read the first post :D

Alright cool. That is pretty much what I thought. So the MK 1 is the only one that is different.
Ah, I hate the MK4 side art too... that bald ass white guy staring at me as if he is saying "yeah, I kick your ass all the time.... coin up b!tch!"

Are the sound boards for MKII and 4 the same? In other words, can I use a MKII PCB with an MK4 soundboard?

after you plug in the kick harness your done, and no "BOOM" hopefully... just DING! (initial boot sound).
