What's up fellas,

Started working on the cabinet.
I had made some cutting templates for the front kick panel. Made my cuts on the matted vinyl & applied them on.
Once all were applied, I added My new Happ's coin door. I went with the yellow reject buttons,
but I may go back to red. we'll see how she turns out.

Reason why I applied vinyl rather than paint was because that's what I had peeled off originally.
Plus applying the vinyl is much easier in my opinion. After the CAX show I'm sure we'll get more done on the CPO.
We'll here it is the small progress. Enjoy:

Yo! Where is everybody else with Rich's new MK side art? I know you guys are out there.
Let's see some progress.

excellent. (mr burns style).

Before i order my sideart i'm waiting for his CPO and front (i need a couple CPO's)

Hey Thanks guys.
I'm not too far away. Next step is a Full cap kit and Flyback on the monitor & I'll have that installed shortly.

Damn that looks phenomenal. You're making my current MK1 project look like crap. Than again, I'm all about 'original this and original that.' Still, I gotta love your work.

Beautiful Cab so far! You'll be ripping off heads in no time. I like the vinyl instead of paint, though I know I'd totally screw it up.

Nice job! And great tip about the vinyl!

I just bought me a mk3 cab I will be restoring, then I'm off looking for an mk1 cab to apply some rich graphics ;-) Look soooo good!!

do you not have the access door on the right side to pull the panel with the PCB out? or is it just not seen in the picture. i wanted to see how you went about doing that door. looks great!! this is my next step in my MK1 to redo the front vinyl. where did you get it and how much did you order?

I did do the front access door, Yet it was not all that easy. its a very fine line next to the edge of the access door &
next to the T-molding. you'll see, just go very slow.

where did you get it and how much did you order?

I had leftover vinyl from my Black tiger Cabinet that I skinned up.

So Rich (TOG) sells them by whatever foot x 36" wide. well the kick panel is only 31" tall I believe.
so I really only needed around 22" give or take....

I applied them in 3 sections. only because that's what I had removed. Originally there were in 3 sections.

Here's some shots.

Wow, now looking at it. I'll be clean up that access door. Clean up the door jams.

If you applied them in 3 sections, how do the seams come together? Does the vinyl shrink after you appy it?

Did you apply the front cp box art yet? very exited how that turnes out...

Bio,

Where did you get the "Midway" logos on the side?

My sides are from Rich. I'm still waiting for the front.
When I last saw him he was still dialing in the final colors.
