Mortal Kombat Arcade Cabinet for $50 in WA - check it out!

Here's what's going to happen. He will get many people asking, and offering more... soon, he'll start taking best offers. It will be out of control. That price is just plain old STUPID for that machine. Jesus.

For $50, I think it's a sweet deal - issue or not - especially for a dedicated cabinet. I know not everyone here is a fan of more modern games like Mortal Kombat, but it is in the top 100 rated games and there's alot of people on here like myself who like the MK franchise.

I have an MKII dedicated cab and would love to get this if I could to turn into a MAME machine, but sadly I live in CO, unless shilmover can get this cab to me in CO at a "good price" :)

that cab is not going to sell for $50... he'll get higher offers and then it'll get silly when people no-show on him (maybe intentionally.)

He's texted me a few times already saying I can pick up tonight if I wanted and he sent me pics of the inside and outside of the cabinet, so I could see what MK board it was in there. Board is stock mounted on the inside of the cabinet with the wiring and inside looking pretty dang mint.

I thought I told him in my first text I was from CO, but didn't I guess, he was holding it for me this evening. If freight wasn't around $300 to ship this from there to CO, I'd buy it.

Shoot that wouldnt be but 350.00 with shipping. I paid 400.00 for mine and drove 250 miles to pick up. But I wanted it bad enough because it was the last one I needed for my collection.

I know people who were within a few minutes of where this guy says he is from. and the guy does not answer. I would not count on it. Funny a guy in Spokane ran a $100 MK CL add a few months ago. Gave tons of people the run around. I would not hold my breath on that one!!

just in case anyone in Colorado or elsewhere was wondering, it's good you didn't spend any money shipping this cabinet out. it's not in terrible shape but it's definitely seen some time in a humid garage. the plywood base is damp (no leg levellers, and it's missing the top half of the back of the cabinet. the lower door section is there, just not the upper part which shouldn't be a big hole. there are also quite a few leaves inside the cabinet and some other natural elements that you don't find in cabs that have been kept inside (no infestations that i could see, though.)

the a/c has been cut so i haven't had a chance yet to replace it in and see what's really wrong.

honestly, i was pretty surprised to get a call this morning to come get it if i wanted it and he honored the $50 price with no qualms.

I have a Working MK that I will be ejecting out of a Robotron Cab in the near future!!!

one new (well, working used) switching power supply later and MK lives again!

the moisture damage is worse than i first thought. hopefully i can keep this cabinet together but the sides are really swollen. surprisingly enough the side art isn't peeling, though the red all around is faded. the CP is in nice shape though the buttons are all stuck and i'll need to pull each one to clean it..

the K7000 could use a capkit but is reasonably bright. the marquee lamp was toast and i think it also needs a new starter; might just replace the whole thing anyway.

not entirely sure it was worth the $50 + $50 in gas and 5 hour drive, but it's here and i've got a much more solid MKII cabinet (painted black) that i could move everything into. i'm going to do my best to make that a last resort.

yeah, i'm pretty sure this sat in the rain for a bit, not just a wet garage.

at least the parts are worth it and maybe i can save the cab.

now i can take MK out of my 19" Dynamo and put something else in there. hmmm, i think it might be time for some Strike Force.

There is wood hardener that I used for my old RV that hardens wood-rot to a very hard state. It worked great for the RV. You inject it in to the wood rotted/swolen areas and it will harden it up and prevent mold/future rot. That said, if it's swolen to the point the T-Molding looks ridiculous on it, it's not worth saving IMHO.
