I just recieved in a Mortal Kombat 4, and everything is good except some minor things.
I noticed the coin door wiring is not plugged in. I compared to my mk2 and noticed that it needs to be plugged in to the board, if I am not mistaken. I think I am missing a plug, or maybe not. Hopefully someone can lend me a hand, and if I am missing a plug hopefully someone can sell me one. BROODWICH!!! MAYBE YOU CAN MAKE ME ONE! :)

any luck finding the other 1/2 of this connector in the cab?

that connector should be in there hopefully right below the cp inside the door there.

That connection is run inside the loops just above the coin door under the CP. There's nothing there? The wires in that connector all run through the Jamma harness (service menu, coin 1 and 2, etc). The only wires in that connector that need to be hooked to the board are for the Vol + and -. You can still adjust that through the menu though. Your coin door lights are a separate connection that should be two small gauge yellow wires in a small 2-pin white molex connector that runs under the coin box and up to the lights.

I will check once I get home and update with pictures what I have in there. I looked for a total of ten minutes didn't have much time, but hopefully the cables are there. Also the kick harness is Seperate as well? The low kicks punches and runs do not work. My buddy said I needed to splice the wires in. In my mk 2 it is a Seperate plug labeled player three I believe. This one doesn't have it.

okay so i checked inside just to make sure, i DO NOT see any plug that it should attach to. i did however notice some wires on the jamma connecter that were cut. I also noticed that the coin mech is missing all together. the kick harness is not wired up either. well there isn't one in there that is normally labeled. i made a video on youtube, but as i am typing the video is not processed yet. i am going to leave the link to my youtube page here so you guys can check it out. i figured a video would be easier then just a bunch of pictures. thanks gentlemen for all of your help!

EDIT: it just finished so here it is.

AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO i assume those wires are for the kick? if so let me know I will wire them up to the adapter I purchased. Anyone have a schematic I can go off of? I threw mines away by accident because when I originally purchased my MK4 pcb from zeno I already wired a harness into my other cabinet that has the switcher. Luckily I had this one as extra.

Ok, at the 0:06 second mark, the reason those wires are missing is because your cabinet wiring doesn't appear to be stock. The Jamma harness definitely isn't. The connector under the CP for the CP wiring isn't a normal MK connection either. It looks like a Molex connector.

I think someone gutted the cab for some reason and threw some wiring in there to make it work before selling it.

You're LK/LP/Run shouldn't be working because nothing is hooked to the P3 connection on the PCB.

You're going to have to map out what the pinout is for that coin door connector and run the wires to the board to make it work.

ok so i should just compare the kick/run wires that are on the buttons and just wire them to the harness i bought right? now that plug for the volume control and all(buttons on the coin door) i need to hard wire that plug in as well correct?

that jamma boards harness you'll have to wire in yourself or splice it directly to the lp/lk's on the CP. the coin door and volume control/test switch will have to be wired to the jamma harness. Mikes correct that's definitely not the factory harness.

those wires that are hanging off look like 25/26/c/d off the jamma harness and aren't normally used. for the coin door you'll need to run wires from 15/16/t/R ("s" is not needed but you can hook that up to the slam tilt if you'd like iirc). if the existing lp/lk's are wired to the jamma board you'll have to cut those wires and splice them into the jammaboards.com harness.

Thanks buddy if I have time I might just try today. I will post results on what I get accomplished.

This might help with your LP/LK/Run wiring...
