Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate No Sound

sounds like an issue with your amp circuit as long as you have -5 in all those cabs.

also as silly as it sounds, make sure the volume is turned up in the test menu as well as your volume pot on the cab.

checked all the volume stuff its all good. didnt check the caps but the board was dropped so i figure its that. i just ordered an empty board and ill swap the chips hopefully that helps.

any number of component side shit could've got broken. the board itself could be cracked. if the game even works at all, consider yourself lucky.

I would check the amp and caps around it. you'll find this very easily by the black heatsink in the corner.

oh, and your empty board probably won't work either, for totally different reasons. I'm very certain it's empty for a reason, unless you found someone that punted on the roms off a Wrestlemania or 2 on 2 Open Ice. heh

ya the big cap by the heat sink is broken. and the empty board i was gonna buy went way beyond the price id be willing out pay. Anybody out there fix these boards??

why not just replace the cap? shouldn't cost you more than $2.00 for a replacement and it's only 2 solder joints. If you have a decent iron/station and a soldapolt/braid/desoldering gun and an idea of what your doing it should only take 5 minutes from start to finish.

mouser, digikey, jameco,radioshack

possibly bob roberts, few other places prolly also that i'm forgetting.

make sure the rating on the cap is the same. the microfarad (uF) number is the more important of the two; voltage you can actually go up a bit, but you can't go down with it.

more than likely you'll have to order it from an electronics supply store online. I personally have used Mouser.
