Mortal Kombat 2 sound board problem.

I believe the reset section is my problem. I don't think the CPU is ever booting. I am not great at logic stuff but at looking at the schematics there is a hard and soft reset and it looks like that one should be high and one low for the cpu to boot. Both of them on mine stays high. I may be totally off with that thinking. Does anybody know anything about the reset section and what I should test or look at?

Just out of curiosity, what was U29?

Have you checked the ROMs on the sound board for proper checksums? Also, is this the sound board with the PLCC socketed chip? Is the socket cracked?

Just an FYI folks, we've been handling this one over in action76's other thread about this same board.

Looks like it's getting narrowed down to the DAC. Still waiting on a response from Action76 re: DAC replacement.
