Here is a fun little project that had been in the back of my mind. I always wanted to have a self contained PCB set for this game. Using scrap standoffs and zip ties, I made this in about an hour of tinkering around.

This is the first time I've put the set together, it came to me in several parts: first the PCB that needed an EPROM, then the wiring, then the sound board that had a broken crystal. She's now complete and playing wonderfully. One of the greats from the early 90's fighting game craze that I lived through. I had never known how good the soundtrack is, all of the machines I played back then had pretty low volume levels.

I attempted doing something similar when I was putting together my 6-in-1, except I put anti-static wrap all over the sound board back and sandwiched it to the back of the mainboard with zip ties. I suppose cardboard could also work, but your way looks a lot cooler lol.

I have a lot of those PCB feet things laying around, might give it a whirl that way sometime. I got a few MK2/MK3 boards myself I need to fix... we'll see, one day.

That's very nice. It will probably extend the life of that board just by reducing the wear and tear of dragging the two boards around.

Very cool idea!
