I bought several TVs today. Scored a G07 direct replacement.

1. GE model 19Pc3742W Direct Go7 replacement !! yipee!!
Built 1985, Tube A48ACE26X, CR-23, Yoke 52.2, 2.2 ohms

2. Montgomery Ward model JSA12669 Signature 2000
Built 1989, CR-23, Yoke 14.2, 2.2 ohms

3. GE model 19TVR60 TV/VCR combo
Built 1997, CR-23, 14.8, 2.5 ohms, Tube A48QAD22OX

Obversations

So far I have bought two TVs that are CR-23 thick neck tubes, but the purity rings and yoke are one piece, so if I want to use those tubes I need to use the purity rings off another tube and perform both static and dynamic convergence on them. Had the idea of trying to copy the positions of the purtiy rings off the TV yoke on the replacement set of purity rings and see how far convergence would be off, Thoughs?

Hate to take apart the one GE model TV with the wood grain, its got a awesome 80's vibe to it, don't it? But its the direct Go7 replacement, and I can't turn that down.

Stupid question... Where is this database? I keep seeing mention of it, but no link. I've quite a few old TV's and would love to see if I can help add to it.

I have gotten about 12 tv's so far and all 12 are usable cr23's or cr 31's. I guess I have gotten lucky.

I'd say so! Are you using a flashlight to look into the TV at the tube number? Or are you just getting completely lucky?

I'm at about a 50% success rate with blind luck BUT I look at the manufacturing date on the rear of the TV to make sure it's within the right range.

I've been having good luck with the '92-'94 range working with k7000 and universal chassis.

Actually... if you include 13" TVs I'm down to about a 25% success rate... those suckers are hard to find! (around here at least)

If I can see the tube number great. But as long its a 19 in I just grab it been picking up tv's from 85-2000. Haven't had one newer than 2000 yet to see if it will work or not
