Well, technically, that's only HALF of the basement. We added on...and the pin area is the new area. If you watch the video link in my signature, it'll give you a better idea of the entire layout.
I hate you.......

Holy hell, what do you do for a living?!
According to his profile, Pete is a High School Teacher. I got out of teaching because I wasn't getting paid enough. Dude, what district are you working for? Cash Money Unified?
hell, i married a doctor and i don't even have a pin row like that!!!![]()
I hate you.......![]()
Oh yeah....and I put in an elevator, too.
ste of money....why spend $15k+ on a vehicle to sell it years later and take a $10k bath on it? I'd rather spend $1000 on a car, and if it gets totally screwed, I'll only lose $500 on it. Much smarter).
Pete
You guys crack me up. =)
Yes, I'm a school teacher, and so is my wife.
In short, you are looking at years and years of hard work and luck. Buying games cheap, fixing and selling stuff to fund the next purchase. Also, getting some bulk purchases, and not getting hung up on details that scare sellers away.
It's not like somebody dumped several hundred thousand dollars in my lap, and I just bought all these games a few months ago. I'm extremely good with my money, and my wife is fantastically supportive.
Other factors: I don't drink, I don't smoke, I've never done drugs, we don't have kids, and I won't spend more than $1500 on a vehicle. I do my own car repairs. (Cars are such a phenomenal waste of money....why spend $15k+ on a vehicle to sell it years later and take a $10k bath on it? I'd rather spend $1000 on a car, and if it gets totally screwed, I'll only lose $500 on it. Much smarter).
Hopefully this explains things. Nope, I'm not rich...really anybody could do what I do as long as they work hard and have patience!
Pete
LMAO !! is that what you were panning up to ? was trying to figure out what that was, or am I seeing something else?
oh, and don't get cocky...![]()
good for you.
how long/wide is that area of yours? i have a basement that looks like it's very similar in layout...only problem is, i have some more doors/missing walls, so the most i'd be able to squeeze in (and still keep my pool table) is 15. i have 8 right now....should be nine by next weekend when dracula gets here.
again though......faneffingtastic lineup/layout. way, way cool.
Naw, not trying to be cocky. That was more of a "Holy crap, this guy is even dorkier than I thought!" type of comment.
Yes, the pan upward was of the elevator. If you want to see absolutely thrilling videos of the elevator, here you go:

So....not really a traditional elevator, but it will hold well over 3,000 lbs (and lets be honest, I'll never be able to put that much weight on it anyhow). I designed it with a bunch of Amish guys, who thought it was much more fun to build than a pole barn for the millionth time.
When we added on to the house, I kept thinking....you know, I'm not going to be young forever, and lugging these things up and down the stairs gets heavy after a while!
So, I planned the elevator, and my back thanks me for it on a daily basis.
Pete
The new basement addition as 16'x64ft.
I hate you.
