man this sucks! ok well for a while now the sound has "changed" not really sure why. well yesterday i went to play it and nothing was working but the GI lights. i opened the back up and just did my "what the fuck am i looking at" check. I noticed the little green light was not on the MPU so i unhooked all the connectors to it one at a time and nothing happened. then i did it again and pushed them on slowely and noticed the bottom connector on the left made the light come back on and the game worked again. but now when the ball drains and it pops out another ball it use to make a chime of some sort and now it just grunts and shoots the ball out. so what do you guys think it is?? im taking the game to APE next month so want to get it straightened out before then...it still plays great but would hate to take it to the show and it decide to stop working...i want others to enjoy it. Please help if you can thanks!

sounds like you might need to replace the connectors that go to the mpu and driver boards.

if its scoring when it spits a ball out check for a stuck switch

six million

Yeah sounds like weak connectors. There doesn't seem to be power to the MPU. If this machine has had previous acid damage then the connectors should be replaced. For the kick out. Check to see if there is a sticky switch in the trough.

If it was me Id repin all the connectors simply because of the games age, and replace, or at least reflow, the pins causing the problems. Id hazard a guess that since the outhole is working then chime problem is also plug related on the board
