Really?! Reading his description makes him sound even more like a d-bag.If it was really THAT near and dear to him,he wouldn't be selling it unless it was under extreme circumstances...which I highly doubt.Sounds like he just won it on ebay, sat on it to try to get it to appreciate, and is now trying to cash in on a moron like the previous seller did with this colostomy bag.

His description is straight off of Wikipedia... at least the first two paragraphs...

"one of my first childhood games" reminds me of a guy locally on CraigsList trying to score a Stadium Events by posting "I loved this game as a kid, and I want to share it with my kids now"

Yeah that's nuts, I won't buy sealed NES games that I can't see and touch - and even then without hangtags and old price stickers I'm skeptical. There's WAY too many sellers out there finding good boxes and re-shrinking them, even with H-seams. I have a few friends that found out the hard way on sealed NES games.

This guy with the "appreciating the art" blurb in his description is a load of cacadookie.

Off topic: Gutsman, I'm finding more and more with every post that we have very similar interests in games - I'm friending you.

Agreed, as MM1 has some of the worst box art EVER. I love the MM series, but this box has always saddened me. I mean, wtf was wrong with the Rockman box art? "Oh noes! Anime styled art in America?! NOWAY!"

Hey,thanks for the add man! I'm always up for meeting new klovers. And I agree Mattroid that the box art sucked. The japanese versions kicked so much ass.At least they didn't f up the actual game itself.

When I went to Japan, the family we stayed with had their super famicom out, and I got to play some Rockman X... man I suck at it...

Seen the box art for Mega Man 9 and 10? they went with a "classic" style...

wish I could have got one of those press kits

Lucky you! I'd love to be able to go to Japan and buy all the cool stuff they have over there. Those press kits....ugh.They honestly make me want to vomit.I know it was somewhat of a running joke as to the reason why they went with the US NES style artwork, but the joke's over and it wasn't really funny to begin with.

I did want the press kit for 9 when it came out. I loved the NES cart case. I sure wish it'd been a real NES cart, though :p

The last MM MIB was on ebay around Valentine's day,and it sold for $1425.No clue if the buyer actually paid for not.But even so his asking price is an insanely almost 10 times that amount.I wonder how much it cost him to list it?
